ABOUT THE ROLE

As a BAA, you will support the Buying team with product development through maintaining the Critical Path, creating garment orders and monitoring development samples. As a BAA you should have an understanding of department performance and it’s impact on the wider company.

  • To be responsible for the selection and development of an optimum range and to maximise sales and profitability

  • Through working with merchandising, ensure the range is balanced and commercial whilst managing risk
  • To develop and negotiate with supply base to achieve better cost, lead time and quality

JUNIOR MERCHANDISER (MAT COVER)

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Plan and trade a department alongside a buyer and designer, overseen by a senior merchandising member.
  • Analyse past seasons for future strategy.
  • Use analysis to support any trade recommendations and proposals
  • Together with a buyer and designer present season strategy to Senior management
  • Manage and present monthly spend considering history and KPIs
  • Maximise profit and limit risk by reacting to current trade and trends
  • Understand the need for mark up, mark down and promotions to drive trade where necessary
  • A good relationship with department suppliers and their contribution
  • Develop sourcing strategies with buyer for the seasons trading
  • Know who the Warehouse customer is as well as own department customer which is at the forefont when building a range

It is an essential role within the business, potentialising sales and driving profit for your departments, stores and the overall Warehouse brand. To succeed in a career in Branch Planning you will need to have a good eye for detail, strong analytical and numerical skills and excellent communication skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is the first step to a long-term career in Merchandising. In this role you be responsible for the allocation of several departments, maintaining the flow of stock to stores and ensuring that the stock is directed to the store in the right volumes at the right time to meet customer expectations and optimize profitability.

GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST (MAT COVER)

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, confident and motivated Garment Technologist to join the Tailoring, Occasion, Outerwear, and Suede & Leather department within our Production team on a maternity cover contract until September/October 2018. You will work closely with the Buyers and Designers of various departments to seal garments from the initial design sample.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Leads fit sessions with Buying and Design teams
  • Prepares specifications and completes fully graded size charts for bulk manufacture
  • Ensures Warehouse manufacturing quality standards are adhered to
  • Ensures all branding is to Warehouse standards and from nominated suppliers
  • Understands fabric performance and testing results, ensuring the most appropriate care instructions
  • Assesses quality performance from product returns, retail and customer feedback and ensures knowledge is applied to future product developments
  • Promotes quality both internally and to suppliers
  • Builds relationships with key suppliers in order to maintain and improve fit and quality
  • Prepares supplier feedback on a regular basis and have input on brand sourcing decisions
  • Benchmarks the relative value of Warehouse product against the competition
  • Ensures new manufacturing techniques and fabrics are fed back to Buying
  • Contributes appropriate fit and quality facts to department strategy reviews
  • Supports technologists in the production team across other product areas to ensure comments are sent to suppliers in a timely manner

SENIOR UI DESIGNER

We’re looking for a Senior UI Designer to join Warehouse on a permanent basis and will focus on enhancing the user experience through creating best-in-class digital design. This role works closely with the Senior Creative and has line management responsibility of the Digital Designer.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main responsibility of this role is to deliver all assets across the Warehouse digital estate. This role will take the lead on all digital design including the creation of pixel perfect designs across multiple devices for responsive web pages, app, and email. The Senior UI Designer will manage the workload of the Digital designer as well as mentor and manage them to seek out new ways of working.

MERCHANDISE ADMIN ASSISTANT

We're looking for two Merchandise Admin Assistants to join our Merchandising team at our Head Office in Old Street. These are fantastic opportunities to kick-start your career in Merchandising.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Merchandise Admin Assistants are responsible for managing the intake process on a day-to-day basis. They liaise directly with suppliers, DC contacts, Imports and Buying to ensure that deliveries of our product arrive to our DC on time and are ready to hit stores to achieve their maximum sell through. Merchandise Admin Assistants regularly review sales of our products and communicate with our stores directly for insight into our best and worst selling products.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • A good understanding of the role of Merchandising
  • Previous unpaid work experience in a Merchandising team is preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in retail (e.g. on the shop floor)
  • A fashion, business or numerical related degree
  • GCSE Maths grade C or above
